Set PLU interface screen in landscape mode

Here allows user to set PLU Product item, pricing/tax, and kitchen printer assigning.

In order to access Setup PLU interface:

Main Menu > Setup POS > PLU/Product Item

General Tab

Parameter Description Required
Name Name or description of the object. Yes
Name 2 Alternative name or description of the object No
Dept Department of this object belongs to. No
Main Category Main Category of this object belongs to. No
Sub Category Sub Category of this object belongs to. No
Code PLU/Product Item code No
Display Sequence Indexing and sorting for group layout. Smaller value will always on first, larger value will always on the last. Value can be negative. No
Unit Units of the PLU/Product. This function is for weighing setting.
Note: Required Option 5 to be enable

Decimal Point Decimal precision point for the PLU unit setting. Setting anything above 0 will make input quantity allows to key in decimal precision. This function is for weighing setting.

Price/Tax Tab

Parameter Description
Price 1 - Price 10 PLU/Product Item selling price
Tax Tax/Service charge option. Each PLU/Product Item can assign multiple taxes.

Kitchen Printer Tab

User allows to assign which kitchen printer to be print out during payment finalizing or balance saving.

Option Tab

User can enable or disable certain options to make cashier operation different. Please refer the table below for more details of each option does.

Option Description
1 - Open Name User will be prompt for enter arbitrary name/description when user tries to order this PLU.
2 - Open Price User will be prompt for enter new pricing when user tries to order this PLU.
3 - Is Condiment PLU will become condiment item instead of normal PLU Product.

This will make any condiment item to be link to normal PLU product when user order it.

4 - Skip Quantity Input User will not be prompt for quantity input when user order this PLU.
5 - Weight Quantity User will allow to enter quantity as weighing. Make sure unit/decimal point has been configured.
6 - Don't Print this Condiment on KP Condiment will not be print to any Kitchen Printer when option enable 3 - Is Condiment or PLU is part of set menu product.

Advanced Tab

Parameter Description Required
Set Menu Set Menu to be linked to this PLU object. User order this PLU object will chain to set menu. No
Bundle Qty Multiply count of this PLU object quantity. It is useful for when the quantity to be bundle(eg. 1 unit for 3 quantity). The price should be full price of the quantity(eg. $100 for 4 quantity). Set 0 to disable this feature. Yes
Daily Qty Limit This feature is for set the limits of item to be sold for daily. User still able to sell more than current maximum allowed. Set 0 to disable this feature. Yes
Time Pricing Time pricing function is for set the PLU object based on clocking price, user able to set price increment based on the configured time slice.

Time Pricing Editor Dialog:

Parameter Description
Duration The duration for the time slice.
Repeat The current time slice to be repeated before next time slice.
Price The price for the time slice.

Example scenario

Example Instructions
You want first 30 minutes for $10 and subsequence hour for $8 Create 2 slices:

Slice 1:

- duration to 30 minutes

- repeat set to 1 time

- price set to $10


Slice 2:

- duration to 60minutes

- repeat set to 9999 or more

- price set to $5

You want first 120minutes for $20, then next 120minutes for $15, after last 60minutes for $30 Create 3 slices:

Slice 1:

- duration to 120 minutes

- repeat set to 1 time

- price set to $20


Slice 2:

- duration to 120 minutes

- repeat set to 1 time

- price set to $15


Slice 3:

- duration to 60 minutes

- repeat set to 1 time

- price set to $30
